Engineering Co-op Programs
Co-op opportunities are available to exceptional freshman, sophomore, junior,
and graduate students enrolled in chemical, electrical or mechanical engineering
or paper science, who have an interest in pursuing a career with Schweitzer-Mauduit
upon graduation. Our programs are intended to provide on-the-job learning experiences
that will augment the student’s formal education and attract talented students as future employees.
Our development programs provide a friendly, supportive atmosphere, a practical engineering
environment, examples of how theory and practice combine to achieve technical results,
increasing responsibility and pay with growing experience and potential career
opportunities after graduation. Co-op students become involved in product and
process design, learn implementation techniques and handle small projects.
Co-ops are carefully selected with the same attention given other candidates for employment.
